The Content Video Editor is a key role focused on refining and enhancing engaging content across various social media platforms, ensuring alignment with our strategic vision and brand voice. Ideal for someone with a passion for storytelling and a keen editorial eye, this role involves editing content created by others to improve its quality, resonance, and shareability. The Content Video Editor collaborates closely with Content Creators to fine-tune narratives and visuals, and uses analytics to guide content strategies based on performance insights. This position requires a deep understanding of the social media landscape and a proven ability to adjust content to maximize audience engagement.

3-4 hrs/week


  • Refine and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with organizational goals and events, ensuring that content editing supports overall objectives.
  • Review and enhance the quality of content produced for platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok, focusing on creating polished, engaging, and shareable material.
  • Work closely with Content Creators to conceptualize and refine innovative content such as social media takeovers, behind-the-scenes footage, "man on the street" interviews, and other engaging formats.
  • Oversee and edit live coverage content during events, including updates on platforms like Instagram Stories and ensuring real-time content is impactful and well-coordinated.
  • Edit short-form video content for platforms such as TikTok and Instagram Reels, enhancing promotional material for TEDxNortheasternU events, speakers, and ideas to ensure clarity and appeal.
  • Engage with the online community by enhancing interactive content, including Q&A sessions and polls, to foster greater audience interaction and participation.


  • Must be self-sufficient, self-starting, and a quick learner, capable of independently managing projects and adapting to new challenges.
  • Requires extensive experience and skill in using common social media platforms, with a particular focus on Instagram and TikTok.
  • Should have a good eye for visual media, able to enhance and refine visual content to ensure it is engaging and on-brand.
  • A passion for connecting people and building online communities is highly preferred, aiming to foster interaction and growth.
  • Knowledge of SEO, marketing programs (CRM), Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, and other digital tools is advantageous; a willingness to learn these tools is also valued.
