The Procurement Coordinator is a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of TEDxNU events. If you have experience in procurement and are passionate about contributing to a meaningful event, this could be the perfect role for you. This lead will be responsible for all procurement needs, including sourcing and purchasing materials, coordinating with vendors, and managing the procurement budget. This position is also responsible for maintaining the organization's inventory and CSI locker. They are the point person for all external vendors.

Boston
2-4 hrs/week

Responsibilities

  • Source and purchase materials necessary for the event within budget constraints
  • Manage relationships with vendors and negotiate contracts
  • Ensure that all necessary permits and licenses are in place for the event
  • Develop and maintain a system for inventory management
  • Work closely with the Director of Operations and other team members to ensure that procurement needs are met in a timely and efficient manner

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Resourceful
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Passion for creating a successful event and contributing to a meaningful community
  • Past experience managing complex processes with several moving parts is a plus
