Social Media Coordinator

Social Media Coordinators are responsible for the creation, curation, and management of content for a variety of purposes, including marketing, education, and entertainment. They are experts in crafting compelling and engaging content that resonates with target audiences and effectively communicates a message or brand.

Responsibilities

  • Craft a compelling story through social media campaigns (Mailchimp, Canva, Instagram, blog posts, etc.)

  • Create fresh, professional, and exciting content (photos/videos, the selection and editing of each piece) and managing the cohesion between all media sources (namely social media and the website)

  • Tabling around Northeastern

  • Capturing visual content from events


Qualities

  • Self-sufficient, self-starting, and driven quick learner

  • Must have experience and skill with common social media platforms, especially Instagram

  • Good eye for digital design

  • Passion for connecting people and building communities preferred

  • Knowledge with SEO, marketing programs (CRM), and similar tools (or interest in learning said tools) is a plus


Qualifications

All students currently enrolled at Northeastern University on the Boston, MA campus who are interested in TEDxNU and believe they would be a good fit for this position are encouraged to apply. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
