Campus Ambassador: Oakland
Community Engagement
This TEDxNU Ambassador will be critical for engaging with the Northeastern community and identifying opportunities for TEDxNU on the Oakland, CA Campus. If you are passionate about building relationships, organizing local events, and engaging with communities, this is the role for you.
Location: Oakland Campus (San Francisco, CA)
Weekly Time Commitment: 4 hours, variable depending on time of year
Responsibilities:
Be a go-to contact for all things TEDxNU (who we are, what we do, upcoming events, opportunities, collaborations, etc.)
Build and maintain relationships with Northeastern students in Oakland
Build and maintain relationships with Northeastern and non-Northeastern organizations in California
Organize annual flagship event watch party
Source speakers for events and competitions
Survey Northeastern community for insights
Follow up with team members and organizations regarding tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Excellent organizational, communication, and emotional intelligence skills
Passion for creating meaningful experiences and building genuine communities
Self-sufficient and driven
Past or current experience with other student organizations is a plus
All students currently enrolled at Northeastern University on its Oakland, CA campus who are interested in TEDxNU and believe they would be a good fit for this position are encouraged to apply. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
